Provident CRM Achieves International Standard ISO 27001:2013 Certification

Provident CRM is proud to announce that it is now an ISO 27001 certified business.

As businesses deal with ever increasing volumes of data, information security has never been more significant. ISO certification is widely considered to be the ‘gold standard’ of information security. To achieve this status, organisations must complete rigorous risk assessments and audits – both internal and external – to prove they are taking every precaution necessary to limit the possibility of a security breach.

To formalise our commitment to maintaining secure data, we chose to seek ISO certification via Certification Europe. We are delighted to announce we have been awarded ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security Management Systems.

Gerry Kelly, Finance Director of Certification Europe, presented the certificate to Gary Seery, COO of Provident CRM in Dublin. Gerry, who has been involved with Certification Europe since it was established, commented on Provident’s achievement: “Information technology security has become paramount in the protection of data and the growing challenges in today’s data management systems. Provident CRM has put great effort into building and maintaining their data and keeping their clients’ information secure. This commitment put themselves amongst a very select group of organisations both in Ireland and across the world that have achieved the highest international standards of data protection.”

What is ISO 27001:2013?

ISO 27001:2013 is the latest version of the ISO 27001 standard and part of the wider ISO 27001 family. This is the most up-to-date ISO standard to meet mandatory certification requirements. The ISO 27001 framework determines whether an organisation has built an information security management system (ISMS) capable of protecting sensitive data. When it comes to IT security, the ISO 27001 certification is one of the most respected standards internationally.

Not only does the framework provide companies with the necessary know-how for protecting their most valuable information, but being ISO 27001-certified helps businesses prove to their customers and partners that it safeguards their data to the highest of standards.

A major milestone for Provident CRM

At Provident CRM, our goals for exceeding quality standards for technical proficiency means that information security has formed the backbone of our growth. As we continue to expand, it is imperative that we have robust processes and procedures in place so we can continue to deliver for our customers. Preparing for and achieving the ISO 27001:2013 standard enables us to implement industry standard processes, gives our team clarity around work practices, and ensures that we continue to prioritise information security. We are proud to have received certification to follow this framework and to provide the most advanced information security for our clients, partners, and our team.

This certification also ensures we maintain compliance with regulations in our markets, such as the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This award allows us to ensure secure information exchange as well as consistency in the delivery of our products and services.

Responsiveness to the ever-changing needs of our customers and new technology developments permeates every area of our business. Certification to ISO 27001 standards now provides a platform to continuously improve on the standards we have set.
