Sugar 10 has been released and is now available for all Sugar customers, including Sugar Enterprise and Sugar Professional. The version 10 release further advances Sugar’s robust suite of customer experience solutions, empowering your marketing, sales, and service teams to collaborate across the entire customer lifecycle for more meaningful, memorable experiences.
As an Elite SugarCRM Partner for over 13 years, we will look at the most exciting pieces of functionality in this release but this list is not exclusive and version 10 includes even more functionality and updates than we go into below.
New Tile View
A new view has been added to Leads, Cases, Tasks and Opportunities. This is a new drag-and-drop interface, increasing interactivity.
Updated Record View
As part of SugarCRM’s commitment to continuous improvement, version 10 includes innovative changes to the User Experience. The new display allows more information to be held on the screen to reduce scrolling. Users can also choose where the field names are located and empty fields are now represented by an empty field pill instead of a blank value.
Editing via Subpanel preview
To reduce clicks, version 10 now allows for the user to edit the record via the preview panel.
Dashboards and Dashlets
There is a new Interactions Dashlet to see a list of calls, emails, meetings and notes related to the record. This also allows the ability to create through the Dashlet.
In Version 9 we saw the introduction of Comment Logs and version 10 enhances this functionality with the existence of the Comment Log Dashlet
Shared filters for List Views have also had their functionality enhanced. Now when a user shares a dashboard with an applied filter, the members in the team who have access to this dashboard will also get the filters applied. A great efficiency enhancement.
SugarBPM Enhancements
It is now possible to assign a sequence for processes with the same target module running at the same time by using the new Run Order field. This allows full business processes to be automated without user interaction.
